Walnut Pizza Peel Set

My wife recently surprised me with an Ooni Karu pizza oven and unfortunately the previous pizza peel I made was too wide for this oven. Given the opportunity to start from scratch, I decided to make a full matching walnut pizza peel set, including a new launching peel, an improved turning peel, and a new rocking pizza cutter.

The launching peel was made from the crotch section of another slab from the set of bookmatched coffee tables I made. The turning peel that I ordered came with a dinky handle, so I made a longer, beefier handle that would match. We’ve always used a rolling pizza wheel cutter, but wanted to try out a rocking pizza cutter to complete the set. With how perfectly crispy the curst came out on off the Ooni Karu, the rocking cutter had no problem cutting through the thin crust.
